On this the 25th analversity of the The Bakersfield Hash House Harriers all Bakersfield Runners and Drinkers are invited to the 20ish running of the Red Dress Run…..”Bakersfield Butt It’s A Dry Heat”.  Our hare for life, or until he meets his untimely gruesome death is once again Diamond Dick.

The Bakersfield Hash House Harriers is an adult non competitive running group is in full compliance with the 1938 charter established by mother hash, Mother Hash : Kuala Lumpur Malaysia The GOALS OF HASH ARE:

• To promote physical fitness among our members
• To get rid of weekend hangovers
• To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer
• To persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel

The original Oppss…Red Dress Run like most hashers was an accident.  On August 7, 1987, a young lady from Arizona arrived in Long Beach wearing a red dress, by the end of the day Red Dress and High Heels she ran with the LB Hash House Harriers. The rest as you say is herstory.  Today every hash world wide host a Red Dress Run as their singular sp;spectacular event of the year.  In addition for many the Red Dress Run is an opportunity to  contribute to the community.  This year BH3 has selected the Bakersfield Burrito Project and once again the Bakersfield Family Homeless Center as our beneficiary.

Both the Bakersfield Burrito Project and Homeless Center meet our criteria of taking care of our local community first.
